Block incoming/outgoing mail attack spammer, this idea is under research.
We are looking into the ways to protect mail servers in a more efficient way.

many very standard techniques could help a lot, for example block an ip for 5 minutes after a 10 times login error

Are you also planning to have this working with Postfix? And also for incoming mail?

Hey everyone!
Happy to report that our Outbound Spam protection feature has been released! You can find it by navigating to console.bitninja.io/spam-protection
One sidenote: Currently we only support exim logs, and you WAF is a pre-requirement. :)
Stay Ninjastic!

Your servers are blocking cron type system email vs DDOS. We had a server which ran out of space and was generating emails every minute or so. It obviously was an error and one that was sent to a root account and forwarded to a user email protected by ninja. It got blocked and therefore the user who owned the server could not remediate. Might be an idea to check for cron activated emails and allow a few before temporary blocking so the user has a chance to fix. The end user had no idea why his emails were blocking and likewise was not receiving any backup email notifications. In addition his attempts at diagnosing the issue failed to find the fault. The only way we know the issue is we noted a few emails in our own system which froze your automated greylisted emails. The problem with greylists. Your greylists get hit by my greylists problem. Anyhow I am ranting. Thanks. Hopefully someone gets to read this.

You should also research on outgoing spam protection, it's also a huge issue for web hosting companies.

I used SpamMagic, Plesk Email Security, Warden Anti Spam, and there is still a lot of opportunites with SPAM, we are still recieving a lot of SPAM and some virus emails, i think having a good spam/virus protection in emails is a Must.

You currently have spam magic as an antispam filter and a fail2ban rule that everything that marks as spam and attacks puts it on the bitninja gray list using iptables.ami works very well for me
